My testimony is a little different than everyone else’s only because I happen to be happily married to Shihan Earl.
I wasn’t sure if my testimony would be worth placing on our website since I assist in class and have ownership in our
Dojo. Martial Arts has been 25 years of my husband, my children and my life. I have spent 15 amazing years married
to my husband and we have grown in many ways. Family is very important to us and Shihan Earl and I take pride in
having such an extension to our family. We enjoy spending much of our time showing how much we appreciate our students.
I believe that Martial Arts is not only a physical instruction, but is also to teach honor, respect, love and self
confidence which is something that as our younger students learn will take them through out their entire life. I have
spent 3 close years with Chris and Michelle. I have watched Chris go from an orange belt leading class on his own, to
receiving his honorable Sensei title to now going for his black belt in June. I’ve watched these two wonderful people
grow in love and now is planning their wedding in October. They have even reminded me of the special little things in a
marriage and how blessed I am to have such a wonderful, passionate husband. Sensei Chris and Senpai Michelle are what
you would call “contagious”. If you spend anytime with them you will immediately feel good about yourself.
Sensei Chris and Senpai Michelle are always positive with everyone and would do anything for everyone. I have
never been as proud of anything as I am for Nokido Ju-Jitsu, Judo and Karate. I can truly say that if you come in and
watch our class you would fall in love with our leadership, compassion for the art and the love we have for our students.

We wanted to enroll our daughter in a Marital Arts program hoping it would
give her the ability to protect/defend herself in the future. After reading Sensei
Earl’s biography, we were extremely impressed with his background and wanted
my daughter to learn from someone who has such vast experience in the Marital Arts.
Sensei Earl, Sensei Chris, Sensei Kaye, and all STORM team members show great patience
and care for their young students. Currently, my entire family participates in one or more
of the Nokido classes offered including my youngest son who suffered a traumatic brain injury
at a young age. He is currently an honor roll student at his school and I’m thankful he has
gained confidence in himself through both our family and the Nokido family.
--The Rivera Family
Nokido Ju-Jitsu and all the staff have been a wonderful influence on our children.
They are learning discipline, respect and honor. We love that they incorporate self-defense
into the program and real life scenarios. To Sensei Earl and the whole gang, thank you!

If you choose to join our family, you will find yourself transformed, physically, mentally and maybe even spiritually.
I joined Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo to get into physical shape. Sensei Earl & Sensei Chris taught me that Nokido is far
more than just another exercise program. It promotes much more than physical health. It is comprehensive, physical,
mental and spiritual discipline. Nokido is (The way of the spirit) warrior’s life of action. Sensei will say,
"you now have 999 left to go”, because it takes 1000 times to perfect the move. Sensei will share his philosophy
of life in lessons that I can carry with me throughout my day. If you apply yourself to the Nokido’s way you will
begin to transform not just your body but also your life. I have developed mental clarity and a calm, experience and
enhanced sense of self-confidence, respect and learn to appreciate what a beautiful gift my life is every day, every hour,
every second, like I have with Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo.
--Santos Jusino Jr
I love taking classes at Nokido Ju-Jitsu! Sensei Earl & Sensei Chris is the best teachers I’ve ever had.
I think that anyone who joins Nokido Ju-Jitsu will enjoy the hands-on learning experience.
--Fabian Gorka age 11
There are nice kids and I learn a lot. I listen to my teachers and they show me lots of
fun moves using punches and kicks, but only in a nice way. I also learn of manners and love
the coloring homework each week.

I like Lil Samurai’s Martial Arts class. I like Judo class. I like Sensei Earl and Sensei Chris.

It all started when my wife came home from her first night of a week’s free Women’s Self-defense class be conducted
by Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo. She was so excited and energized. She had asked the instructor if I could come with her
the rest of the week and they welcomed me with open arms. What an amazing week! By the end of the week we were hooked
and wanted to learn more. My wife, me and my 6 yr old daughter decided to start taking classes through Nokido and
since then I have become more self confident in everything I do and every interaction I have. Nokido has become an
important part in our whole family. We are not only learning self-defense, we are helping to change the life of others
and make friendships that will last lifetime. The entire Nokido family is great. Sensei Earl and Sensei Chris are both
knowledgeable and great instructors and have a true passion in making a difference.

We are so glad that we chose Lil Samurai’s class for Ryan. We originally chose you because the cost was the most
reasonable, but we quickly saw that you offer so much more. The first day my husband took Ryan to “check it out,”
you immediately invited him to participate. The next week, I was surprised that Ryan was greeted by name! It means
a lot that you care enough to learn and remember a child’s name after meeting them one time. Ryan love going to Ju-Jitsu
every week and has fun practicing at home. Rewarding his hard work with frequent testing and belt advancement really
helps keep him motivated, while we, as parents are glad that you won’t advance him if he hasn’t actually gained the
required knowledge or skills. Another thing that we appreciate is the focus on character building. That is such a
priority to us as parents and to see that our values are being reinforced is very important. We encourage Ryan to work
hard and strive to be part of the Storm team one day. I can see the values you teach in the students that we meet,
especially in the way they interact with our children. We look forward to enrolling our daughter next year when she
turns 4 and our youngest son too! We have recommended Nokido to our friends and hopefully their son will be joining soon!
You definitely have a family environment and we are happy to be a part of the “family” and hope to be for a long time!

My son Jacob has been in the Lil Samurai program since August of 09. Since that time Jacob has made great improvements
in the areas of discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance and many other areas that make his day-to-day life better
and easier for everyone. Sensei Earl does a great job communicating with the students and presenting things in a way that
they understand, and of course he can defend himself better that ever now.
--Robert Rainbow

The Lil Samurai program has had such a wonderful impact on our son’s life. He has learned so many things, not only
the beginnings of Martial Arts, but also respect, discipline, patience and so many other virtues. The Storm Team’s
presence surrounds him wonderful role models he can look to for support and guidance. This Dojo is such a warm and
caring family environment we wouldn’t dream of entrusting our child’s learning to anyone else. It has been a joy to
be part of the Nokido Ju-Jitsu Family.

It all started with a week course for a free women’s self defense class that I attended and I was hooked!
I realized very quickly what a powerful skill this was to have for self-defense and also a fun family fitness activity.
My husband and my 6 yr old daughter joined up at the same time and we all have the same passion for Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo.
This has become more than just self-defense and fitness, it has become as extension of our family.

Hi, my name is Gail and my son Rocco has been in the little Samurai class for a year and a half now. I am so glad
I decided to have him try it out. I really didn’t know what to expect. I had a good feeling he was going to like it
because of all the karate he sees on Spongebob and such shows. I never knew that it would turn out to be the smartest
thing I ever did for my son. I mean that too. He is learning so many things. He is learning self-defense, manners,
respect and above all how to defend himself if needed. I love the way the class is run and how everyone is just one
Giant Family. It is such a good atmosphere for a young child to grow up in. I believe the teachers all care for the
children very much just like you would expect in a family setting. I can see how comfortable Rocco is with all the
teachers and the older children that come to help out. It is so important to make sure your children are
“hanging out with the right crowd” and I can honestly say the kids this group are great influences on my son.
I am happy he has so many good friends, adult and kids alike. All I can say is thank you for letting others have
the chance to benefit from your experience and your teachings. You are truly a wonderful Human Being.
--Gail Cecora

My son showed interest on taking a Martial arts class. We looked into Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo and we were extremely
pleased with Sensei Earl teaching techniques and the family oriented atmosphere at the Dojo that not only my son
joined but myself as well. If you’re looking to get in shape, learn a Martial Art, share some time with your
son/daughter, I would recommend joining the Nokido Ju-Jitsu & Judo family.
--Andres Fernandez & Andres Fernandez Jr

I began taking Ju-Jitsu to better learn ground techniques. I find that I’m learning all three phases of combat
from striking to throws to grappling. All the instructors hold a wealth of knowledge with Sensei Earl having devoted
over 25 years to the art. The quality of teaching is second to none. I rarely have to ask more than a single question
about any technique as it has been very well taught the first time. Nokido Ju-Jitsu is one the top ranked school and has
produced National Champions who have the ability to go compete in World competition. I have a great time at Nokido and
have learned so much. I intend to achieve my black belt at this school and I know that attending this school is one of
the best decisions I have ever made.
--Joseph Kyser

Sensei is the best sensei ever met. I know that he is my dad but he is awesome.
I love him as a dad and a Sensei.
